Details of the financial deal Alexis Sanchez has agreed with Manchester United have now been revealed.
The Chile international has accepted the offer of a four and a half year deal, which will see him earn a whopping £450,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail.
This will work out as a net weekly payment of £290,000 per week or £14 million per year.
Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford has still not been finalised however, with United playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is wanted by Arsene Wenger as part of any deal, still not having agreed personal terms over a move to The Emirates.
This transfer story has been dominating the headlines over recent days, and if Sanchez does finalise his move North, he will become his new club’s highest earner.
A player of his undoubted quality will hugely improve Jose Mourinho’s attacking options, and the club will see his signing as a major coup, having beaten off competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, who both seem to have pulled out of any potential deal over concerns about the size of the financial package the player is demanding.
