Mohamed Salah admitted it was great to score his 50th goal for Liverpool during his sides comfortable 4-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade tonight in the Champions League.
Egypt international Salah scored a brace at Anfield either side of goals from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to reach his half-century of strikes for the Reds – a hugely impressive achievement considering he only joined the clubs from Roma in the summer of 2017.
“It was an important game. We knew the game was going to be tough. The most important thing was the three points,” Salah told BT Sport.
“It’s great – I’m happy to score my 50th goal for Liverpool. We know how to play with each other and know our qualities.”
