Rondon: I feel settled at Newcastle

Newcastle striker Salomon London has revealed that he has found it easy to settle into life on Tyneside.

The Venezuelan frontman joined the Magpies on loan from relegated West Brom last summer and scored his first goals of the season last weekend when he netted a match winning brace against Bournemouth.

“Ever since I arrived here it has been friendly. When I first signed some people recognised me around the city and they came over to say welcome.’’ Rondon told the Newcastle Chronicle.

“They shook my hand and I asked them about the city. I was settled here quickly. I have played around the world but to be settled already is good.”

It has been a good couple of weeks for Newcastle with Rafa Benitez’s side winning their first two games of the season and moving from the relegation zone up to 14th in the Premier League table.
