Romelu Lukaku 'reaches agreement' ahead of summer transfer

Romelu Lukaku has reached an agreement with another club ahead of a summer move away from Everton.

The Belgian has been linked with a £100m move away from Goodison Park this summer, with both Manchester United and Chelsea believed to be most interested. There have also been rumours that Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the 23-year-old striker.

He has claimed that he has an agreement with the so far unnamed club:

“My agent knows what’s going to happen and I know as well.

“I’m staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well. We stay calm and at least we have a direction where we want to go.

“I’m just going to rest for a few days and then just prepare for next season. I want to put the time in on my holiday to take everything to another level and be better than I was last season.

“We are now talking to the club. The most important thing is I want to win trophies. What I would like most is to play in the Champions League and to try and win the Premier League once – or better, a few times. That would be the most beautiful thing.”

It is thought that Chelsea are the club who Lukaku is referring to, and he will snub the chance to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. The bookmakers have responded, with Chelsea being moving from 4/5 to 1/4, while Manchester United drifting from 2/1 to 4/1.

Manchester United are believed to have made Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata their number one transfer target.
