Roma willing to cash in on Tammy Abraham

Roma are willing to listen to offers for Tammy Abraham this summer amid interest in the forward from Premier League clubs.

Roma’s defeat in the Europa League final confirmed the club’s absence from the Champions League next season and sales are expected as the club look to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

Abraham is viewed as one of the club’s most valuable assets and is on the radar of several Premier League clubs, with a return to English football potentially improving the 25-year-old’s chances of making the England squad for next summer’s European Championship, should Gareth Southgate’s side secure qualification.

Abraham signed for Roma in a £34m deal from Chelsea and has scored 36 goals in 106 appearances for the Italian side. He formed part of the team that won the Europa Conference League in 2021/22 and was named in the competition’s Team of the Tournament.

The Telegraph are reporting that Roma will listen to offers for Abraham and will expect to recoup the fee paid to sign the forward from Chelsea. Aston Villa have been linked with re-signing Abraham, who had a successful loan spell at Villa Park in 2018/19 as he fired the club to Premier League promotion.

West Ham, Manchester United and Arsenal have also previously been credited as admirers of the England international, who has three goals in 11 caps for the national side.
