Roma have not received any bids for goalkeeper Alisson Becker, despite reported interest from around Europe.
The Brazil goalkeeper has reportedly attracted the attentions of Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid, who are all on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer.
Liverpool’s need for a new goalkeeper was greatly highlighted in the Champions League final in May, when Loris Karius made two horrendous blunders, although they could have been caused by concussion.
Chelsea are also on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, with the Blues thought to be resigned to losing current number one Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian stopper has entered the final year of his deal at Stamford Bridge, and hinted that he could be on his way to Real Madrid this summer.
However the European champions have also looked at Alisson as one of a number of options to take the gloves, with club president Florentino Perez keen to add a ‘Galactico’ between the sticks at the Bernabeu.
However Roma Sporting Director Monchi has confirmed that the club are yet to receive a bid for the Brazilian:
“Nothing has changed because so far we have not received any offers,” said the Spaniard.
“I would say it is strange to claim we have a price tag in mind, because if we haven’t received any bids, we can’t think about a price.
“Now Alisson is on vacation and will return for pre-season training. If there were new developments, we would evaluate them, but nothing has come in.”
