Liverpool and Scotland’s left-back Andy Robertson thinks that the race for this season’s Premier League title race will go all the way until the end of the season.
Robertson said that there is nothing The Reds can do about Manchester City’s results and need to simply concentrate on their own games.
“The only result we can control against Manchester City is the one when they play us, other than that we can’t.’’ He told Liverpool’s official website.
“We need to focus on our own results. We need to keep picking up the three points.”
Liverpool have now made their best ever start to a league season in the club’s 126-year history. Yet, thanks to Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City machine, the Merseyside club are still only second in the Premier League table.
“When you look at it and say ‘you’d be unbeaten at the start of December’, you [think] you’d be at the top of the league – but we’re not. We’re still chasing City.
“It’s been a good start for us, and we need to keep going, keep focusing on what we’re doing instead of looking at anyone else.”
“We’re controlling what we’re doing right now, and if we keep putting the pressure on City, I’m sure it will go right to the end.”
