Chelsea are the most hated team in the Premier League according to a recently conducted survey.
The poll was carried out by the Mirror, and it seems that success definitely breeds contempt, with the two most successful clubs of the Premier League era – Chelsea and Manchester United – way ahead of their rivals in terms of how much they are disliked by fans of other top flight clubs.
Last seasons Champions League finalists Liverpool come in in third, while West Ham fans will be happy to see that they finally made it into the top four.
In an interesting twist Burnley were voted the most popular side among rival Premier League fans, with supporters obviously suckers for Sean Dyche’s beautiful gravelly voice.
