Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League player of the month for February in a public vote by fans, after his sensational exploits for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The other players nominated for the award were; Glenn Murray (Brighton), Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Mousa Dembele (Tottenham), and Eden Hazard (Chelsea).
The Egyptian international has been in breathtaking form since moving to Anfield from Roma last summer. The lightning quick winger has exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic of Liverpool fans, netting an incredible 32 goals so far this season.
This is the second time this season that Salah has won the award after also picking up the prestigious prize back in November.
“It’s nice to win it again for the second time,” .
“That’s something good, but in the end I say I always try to help us to reach the three points and be in a better position, that’s the most important thing.
“But it’s something individual, this award, and it’s nice to win it again.” said the 25-year-old.
Liverpool will be hoping Salah can maintain his amazing form when they travel to Old Trafford tomorrow to face their arch rivals Manchester United in a crunch game in the battle to finish second behind runaway Premier League leaders Man City.
