Jose Mourinho is reportedly ‘evaluating’ an offer to become the new manager of Celtic.
The 56-year-old is considering a return to management having been sacked by Manchester United in December, with Scottish champions Celtic reported to have made a shock offer.
Celtic are seeking a permanent replacement for Brendan Rodgers, who left the club earlier this season to join Leicester City.
Current caretaker manager Neil Lennon has overseen the final months of the campaign, but is yet to be offered a permanent deal with the club considering ambitious alternatives.
According to Di Marzio that includes an offer to Mourinho, in an effort to tempt the two-time Champions League winning coach to the Scottish top flight.
Both Lyon and Roma have also been credited with an interest in Mourinho, who insists he will not be rushed into a decision on returning to management, with the former Chelsea boss also thought to be keen on a move to PSG.
A move to Celtic would offer the Portuguese a chance to add to his trophy haul, with Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Aberdeen sealing the club’s eighth consecutive league title.
