Liverpool fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Bayern Munich have announced the appointment of their new head coach.
The Bavarians had been linked with having an interest in appointing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp following his excellent season at Anfield.
While Manchester City have literally beaten every single Premier League side they have faced this season at least once (including Liverpool), Jurgen Klopp seems to have had the magic formula against former Bayern boss Pep Guardiola, winning three of the four ties against the Citizens this season, including twice in the Champions League within the last week.
Rumours of a return to Germany for the former Dortmund manager were not helped when the Klopp’s agent recently spoke openly about potentially taking over at the Allianz.
However those rumours can be put to bed for the time being, after Bayern Munich announced that they have reached a deal to appoint former player Niko Kovac as their new head coach on a three year deal, starting in July 1st.
