Real Madrid will offer Tottenham £45m plus Dani Ceballos to land Christian Eriksen.

The Spanish giants have already spent close to £300m this summer as Zinedine Zidane rebuilds his squad following a disappointing season, and have targeted a move for Spurs star Eriksen as they look to add to their midfield options.

The Danish international has just one year remaining on his current deal in North London, with the 27-year-old admitting he wants to try something new amid interest from the La Liga side.

According to the Sun, Real will now put together a package to try and persuade Tottenham into selling the playmaker, which will include Spain international Ceballos in part exchange.

The 22-year-old joined Real in an €18m deal from Real Betis in 2017 but has found first-team opportunities limited due to competition from the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, making just 13 La Liga starts last season.

Tottenham are unlikely to want to part with Eriksen, who has been a key player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in recent seasons, though may sanction his sale rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Real have also held a long-standing interest in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, however, the financial cost of signing the World Cup winner has seen them turn their attentions to Eriksen.

Pogba had been the player Zidane planned to build his midfield around, however United are likely to demand a fee in excess of £150m for the 26-year-old who has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.
