Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has reportedly told one of his teammates that he is moving to Chelsea in the summer.
Real Madrid eased to a 4-0 victory against Deportivo on Saturday, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all getting on the scoresheet. Asensio meanwhile, was forced to watch from the sidelines after the Spain international was left out of the squad by manager Zinedine Zidane.
The Spanish international has grown increasingly frustrated at his lack of opportunities at the Bernabeu this season, with Chelsea emerging as potential suitors for the youngster.
Real Madrid are expected to pursue a deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in the summer.
The Belgium international has strongly linked with a move to the Spanish capital for a number of months, and while he is thought to be happy at Stamford Bridge, he has refused to rule out an exit.
Chelsea are reluctant to let the Belgian leave without a fight, but they could allow him to depart should Asensio move in the opposite direction.
Now, Spanish publication Don Balon claim that Asensio has told Real Madrid teammate Isco that he is ready to join Chelsea if, as expected, Real make a move for Hazard.
However a move for the youngster will not come cheap, with the contract that he only signed last year containing a staggering £500 million release clause.
