Real Madrid have pulled out of the race to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba giving Manchester United a clear run at signing the Frenchman.

Sources for Sky Sports News have claimed that the European Champions have withdrawn from the race as they cannot justify paying the sums that are being quoted.

News today revealed that Manchester United will make a €120million bid for Pogba next week, as well as paying the 23-year old €13million-a-year, whereas his agent Mino Raiola will earn a staggering €25million for his part in the deal.

Real Madrid believe that they simply can’t compete with these figures, despite their interest in the player, and have subsequently decided not to continue their pursuit.
