You just can’t keep Paul Pogba out of the headlines it seems these days, and today is no different, with speculation that Real Madrid are plotting a sensational £120 million summer bid for his services.
The midfielder has been the talk of, well, just about everyone in recent weeks, all who have their own opinion of the Frenchman. Pogba, who was until recently the world’s most expensive footballer, has put in two mightily disappointing performances in recent weeks, in games in which United have gone on to lose.
While Jose Mourinho seems determined to play him in a midfielder two alongside Nemanja Matic, reports have suggested that Pogba has asked to be utilised in a midfielder three, in order to free himself from his defensive shackles.
Now however, according to The Sun, Real Madrid are planning on making a whopping £120m bid for the midfielder, who is thought to be regretting returning to Manchester United 18 months ago.
The Spanish giants have plenty of their own problems, languishing 17 points behind their bitter rivals Barcelona in the La Liga title race.
United do have a history of doing business with Los Blancos, with David Beckham, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gabriel Heinze all moving from Manchester to Madrid, while Angel di Maria also recently having moved in the opposite direction.
However, the report also claims that United have no intention of letting their star player leave the club under any circumstance, and the player himself is determined to work through his problems that he is currently experiencing.
