Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has broken his silence on his club’s chances of signing Spurs striker Harry Kane.
Kane has been in stunning form for a number of years, winning the Premier Leagues golden boot for the last two seasons and has attracted the attentions of Europe’s most successful club.
However, in what will come as a boost to Spurs fans, Florentino Perez has denied that the England striker is on Real Madrid’s radar.
Speaking to Cadena COPE, Perez said:
“Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head. He is a great player and in addition he is young,
“He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with [Karim] Benzema and with all of the team.
“I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m.”
Kane has already scored 13 goals in 12 appearances this season, including two in last weekend’s 4-1 victory over Liverpool.
