Real Madrid are set to make a €65million bid for Bayern Munich star David Alaba.
The European Champions have already made two seperate offers for the Austrian, both which have been knocked back. The last offer they made was countered by the Bundesliga club, who asked for Raphael Varane in return for the services of Alaba, something the Real Madrid were unwilling to negotiate on.
Los Blancos utilised the teams midweek meeting in the USA to place another bid of around €65million, but were asked once again include Portuguese defender Pepe in the deal.
Real Madrid are reluctant to include any players in a deal to take Alaba to La Liga, whilst the Bundesliga champions have slapped an €80million price tag on the players head.
New Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelloti wants the 24-year old to stay at he club, and has told him he is willing to play him in his preferred role in midfielder, rather than the defensive role handed to him by Pep Guardiola.
