Rangers travel to Dens Park to take on Dundee FC this Sunday in the Scottish Premiership as they look to bounce back from consecutive defeats.
Danny Rohl has overseen a slight improvement in form since replacing Russell Martin in the dugout, taking them up to fourth place in the table with two wins from his first two league games in charge.
But the German coach has lost three games in all competitions, including a disappointing defeat to rivals Celtic in the League Cup semi-finals.
Dundee, meanwhile, have lost their last two games in the Premiership since shocking Celtic with a 2-0 home win last month.
Rangers team news
Team selection for Rohl features several enforced absences; Dujon Sterling will not be available, sidelined with a persistent Achilles problem that have kept him out since April. Rabbi Matondo also misses out due to a prolonged knee issue, and Kieran Dowell remains on the injury list.
In contrast, Connor Barron returns to strengthen the midfield after completing a suspension following a sending-off in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Celtic. His return gives Rohl more options as Rangers seek to build on recent league successes.
Following Thursday’s 2-0 defeat to AS Roma in the Europa League — a contest in which the Gers struggled to find momentum — Rohl may well reshuffle his starting eleven. The German manager, however, has commended his squad’s determination during a testing period, describing their response as a display of significant character.
Rangers predicted lineup
Possible Rangers starting XI: Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Djiga; Aarons, Barron, Diomande, Gassama; Miovski, Moore, Danilo
