Manager Derek McInnes must rework his whole attacking unit after captain and leading striker Lawrence Shankland was ruled out for as long as four months with a bad hamstring tear.
The forward line is further weakened because Youssef Chermiti remains a long-term absentee following an ACL injury.
Options in midfield and at the back are also very limited. Jose Cifuentes and Ashton Scally are still unavailable as they work their way back from pre-season injuries, while Daisuke Yokota is out with a persistent groin problem.
Kosta Nedeljkovic cannot feature because of a foot injury, and Tuur Rommens is also missing, with a return expected later this month. Making things worse, defender Emmanuel Fernandez is a major doubt after sustaining a knock in their last game.
