After a frustrating penalty shootout defeat to Jablonec in the Conference League playoffs, Derek McInnes’s team responded immediately with three consecutive 1-0 league wins—against Aberdeen, Motherwell, and most recently St Mirren. Over their last four matches, they have recorded three clean sheets, showing solid defensive organisation.

Despite their good form, Rangers face a serious injury crisis ahead of this high-profile tie.
Captain and main striker Lawrence Shankland is the biggest casualty, ruled out for around four months with a significant hamstring tear.
The attacking options are further reduced with Youssef Chermiti still recovering from an ACL injury and Japanese winger Daisuke Yokota unavailable until November after groin surgery.
In defence, both first-choice full-backs are out: Tuur Rommens (left-back) and Kosta Nedeljkovic (right-back) are sidelined with groin and foot problems respectively.
Midfielder Jose Cifuentes is also not fit to play. Bojan Miovski, who impressed midweek, is likely to lead the attack, supported by Ryan Naderi, as McInnes tries to cope with a thin frontline.
