Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has penned a personal statement to fans after agreeing a lucrative move to Juventus on a free transfer this coming summer.
The 28-year-old’s contract runs out at the end of the season, leaving him free to agree a staggering ยฃ325,000-a-week four-year deal with the Old Lady of Italian football before leaving London for pastures new on July 1.
The Welsh international leaves the Gunners eleven years after joining from Cardiff City having won three FA Cups and two Community Shields under Arsene Wenger.
After putting pen to paper with Juventus, Ramsey tweeted out an emotional tribute to Arsenal fans in which he said he leaves the club with a “heavy heart”:

โI wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive,โ Ramsey wrote. โYou welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I have encountered during my time at the club.
โIt is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in north London. Thank you. I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.โ
Arsenal also released a statement about the move, thanking Ramsey for his “fantastic contribution” to the club since arriving as a teenager in 2008.
