Under-fire Leicester City boss Claude Puel thought that his side’s defeat to Cardiff City today was ‘harsh’.
Leicester dominated virtually every single match stat going, including possession, shots, and passes, but were undone by a last minute strike from Roberto Camarasca, with the Foxes having missed a second-half penalty.
Speaking after the game, Puel thought that his side deserved to get something out of the game.
“This was another game against a team with another style of play. We’ve had a lot of chances without finding the clinical edge,” Puel told the BBC’s Match of the Day.
“We conceded this goal in the last minute. It’s very harsh because I think we deserve another result.
“We needed to win this game, but it’s difficult. There’s a lot of disappointment because we tried, but I think a lot of players were tired. I think that’s normal in this busy period.
“I think we had the right mentality. They’re a difficult team to play against with their long throw-ins, free-kicks and second balls.”
Puel is facing criticism from the Leicester faithful and from within the Foxes dressing room regarding the style of play he is serving up.
