Leicester manager Claude Puel admitted he was proud of his players after tonights 1-1 draw away to Liverpool.
The Foxes got off to the worst possible start in treacherous conditions at Anfield, when Liverpool winger Sadio Mane curled home after just three minutes.
However, Leicester struck back two minutes into injury time at the end of the first-half after Liverpool failed to properly clear a free-kick from the right-hand side.
Puel’s side put on a spirited defensive performance to limit Liverpool’s star-studded attack and had a couple of excellent chances to nick the win during the second period, with Puel admitting afterward that he felt his side deserved to take all three points.
“Of course I am proud of my players. It was another difficult start to the game. We conceded after two minutes but we didn’t lose our structure,” Puel told BBC Sport.
“At the end we had more chances and it could have been better at the end. We deserved the win with the chances we had.”
