PSG want to sign Brazilian winger Willian on deadline day as cover for the injured Neymar, who will be out for ten weeks.

The French champion’s star player suffered a fractured metatarsal while playing against Strasbourg in a cup tie, and will miss the club’s massive Champions League round of 16 tie with Manchester United.

In their bid to replace Neymar while he is recovering, PSG are looking to Chelsea attacker Willian as a potential stand-in, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed the London club value the player, who has 18 months left to run on his contract, at £40 million, which may put him out of range for the Parisian club.

The newspaper also claims that they approached Mesut Ozil about a possible loan deal, but that he turned down the opportunity to move from one capital city to another.

With the threat of a transfer ban looming, Chelsea are keen to hold on to as many first-team starters as possible in the event of a worst-case scenario.

Willian has played 23 times for the Blues in the Premier League this season, providing three goals and three assists.
