French giants PSG are lining up a £90 million bid for Chelsea’s midfield powerhouse N’Golo Kante this summer.
Kante moved to England in the summer of 2015 when he joined Leicester City from French side Caen, with his phenomenal work rate in the middle of the park one of the key elements in Claudio Ranieri’s side pulling of their shock Premier League title victory.
The France international’s form for the Foxes soon attracted the attention of Chelsea who paid £30 million to take him to Stamford Bridge, and the 27-year-old was again an inspirational figure as the Blues romped to EPL glory in his first season at the club.
The Mirror are reporting that PSG, who proved with the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer, that money is no object, are now keen to make Kante their next high profile signing as the Qatari owned club aim to win the Champions League.
Kante is currently in Russia with France for the World Cup and although he has previously stated that he is happy with life in London, he may well be tempted by a move back to his home city Paris.
Whether Chelsea are willing to sell such an influential player also remains to be seen, and much will of course depend on who the Stamford Bridge club choose as their new coach.
However, Kante is such a dominate figure in midfield that it is hard to see any coach in World football that would not like to have him in their team.
