Paris Saint-Germain have made contact with Aston Villa to discuss an ambitious swap deal involving Randal Kolo Muani and Jhon Duran.

Duran has been one of the breakout stars of the Premier League season and scored the opener in Aston Villa’s 2-1 win over Manchester City on Saturday.

The 21-year-old has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Unai Emery’s team, despite starting just six games. He has scored on each of those starts, including in each of the last three league games.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen to add Duran to their emerging side, as the French champions concentrate on developing young talent.

Spanish outlet Fichajes are reporting that PSG are prepared to offer Kolo Muani in exchange for the Villa forward. Kolo Muani has been informed he is free to leave the Ligue 1 side after struggling to make an impression since his €80m arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The France international has scored just 11 goals in 54 games and has been linked with sides in the Premier League and Bundesliga.

Duran was a transfer target for West Ham and Chelsea in the summer window as he sought regular first-team football.

However, his strong start to the campaign saw the forward rewarded with a new contract in October. His Aston Villa deal runs until 2030 and The Villans will demand a huge fee to part with the player.
