Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that Paris Saint-Germain are the ‘only club that could afford’ forward Victor Osimhen.
Europe’s top clubs continue to be linked with a move to sign Osimhen after a brilliant season at Napoli, with the 24-year-old leading Serie A for goals as Luciano Spalletti’s side won a first Scudetto in 33 years.
Osimhen scored 31 goals in all competitions for the Italian champions, who are under no pressure to sell the Nigeria international.
The club’s president, De Laurentiis, has stated his belief that PSG are the only team capable of affording Osimhen and has insisted it will take a bid of €200m (£170m) to persuade them to sell the striker.
PSG are understood to be considering an approach to sign Osimhen as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,” De Laurentiis told Mediaset.
“If Nasser Al Khelaifi (PSG president) wants to send in a bid around €200m… we wait and we see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here.”
