Premier League Transfer Rumour Mill: PSG plot Rashford move

There’s less than 48 hours to go until the January transfer window slams shut, so could we see some movement in the final hours of the transfer period?

Here are the biggest Premier League transfer rumours from January 31.

Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a move for Marcus Rashford, according to iNews. The Manchester United man might have won the hearts of the public by feeding school kids in need, but he’s got on the wrong side of Erik ten Hag once again this week.

Rashford’s latest incident of ill-discipline – reportedly missing training after a boozy break in Belfast – has put him in the headlines once agin. PSG, rarely short of drama themselves, are long-term admirers and eyeing a bid.

There could be outgoings at Chelsea as the Blues balance the books. The Guardian say Spurs might make a late bid for Conor Gallagher, if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg can be moved on, while Chelsea are willing to cash in on Armando Broja.

Both Fulham and Wolves want the Albanian, though a return of just two goals this season warrants an asking price of £50m, apparently. These really are crazy times in English football.

One side looking to be rather more thrifty is Liverpool. The Reds’ search for a centre-back has turned towards Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo, say the The Mirror, whose contract is up at the end of the campaign. The 26-year-old could be a direct replacement for Joel Matip, out of contract himself in the summer.

West Ham want ex-Celtic winger Jota, though a deal is complicated by Saudi tax laws, and are prepared to ship out Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to make room in the squad. The former has agreed a deal with Lyon, while Fornals is nearing a return to Span at Real Betis, according to the Daily Mail.

The Hammers have, however, turned down an approach from Crystal Palace for Ben Johnson, despite the defender’s deal having just six months to run. The Athletic say Johnson is expected to remain at the London Stadium until the end of the season.

Finally, Brighton want to bring in Spurs outcast Bryan Gil. It’s not really worked out for the uncannily Scouse-looking Spanish winger, and a move to the South Coast could reignite his fortunes.
