A number of the Premier Leagues top six have been put on red alert with the news that Leon Bailey is trying to engineer a transfer.
The Bayer Leverkusen winger has been linked with a move to virtually every member of the Premier League top six over the course of the last 12 months, with the majority of managers thought to be on the lookout for a pacey winger.
The Jamaican U23 international is one of the most highly rated young players in European football, after scoring nine goals and providing six assists in his 30 Bundesliga appearances last season.
However, according to The Sun, the 20-year-old’s representatives are to begin talks with potential suitors in the hope of forcing a transfer.
While his current club are keen to keep their number 9, it is claimed that they ‘would struggle to turn down a bid of £35m-£40m’.
Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in Bailey’s signture, and the youngster could be a potential replacement for Eden Hazard or Willian, who have both been linked with leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
Manchester United have also been linked with signing a winger this summer, with Willian supposedly on their list of transfer targets, along with Gareth Bale and Ante Rebic.
Arsenal also want to strengthen their attacking options after losing Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez earlier in the year.
Barcelona have also been linked, but their capture of Malcom for Bordeaux on Tuesday has seen their interest wane.
