The Premier League will have six teams in next season’s Champions League after Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur progressed to the Europa League final.
England will become the first-ever nation to have six teams in a single season of the tournament.
The Premier League is allocated four places for the top four teams in each league campaign. In addition, England has been granted an additional place in the 2025/26 competition due to the league’s co-efficient ranking.

Under the expanded format, introduced this season, two leagues are handed an extra place based on the performance of their nation’s teams in UEFA’s three competitions, the Champions League, the Europa League and the Conference League, the previous season.
The additional place will be allocated to the team that finishes fifth in the Premier League this season.
UEFA also hand a Champions League place to the winners of the Europa League. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will face off in Bilbao later this month with the winners earned the trophy and Champions League qualification.
With neither side able to secure Champions League qualification through their league finish, England are guaranteed to have six sides in the tournament.
