The clocks have gone back, the high-viz balls are out, and the Premier League is already more than a quarter of the way through. With the league table starting to take shape at both ends, here are ten of the best stats from this weekend’s action.
- Brighton‘s 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday means they maintain their 100% record against the Black Country club in the top-flight, extending their run to seven wins in seven matches.
- Newcastle United‘s 0-0 draw with Southampton means that this is their worst start to a season for 120 years for the Magpies.
- Fulham have conceded 28 goals in the Premier League this season, the joint-most after 10 games in the division’s history. (Barnsley in 97/98 and Southampton in 2012/13 did the same).
- Liverpool have won all 19 of the home matches in which Mane has scored for them.
- Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last 13 Premier League games at Vicarage Road (eight goals, two assists).
- West Ham United have now dropped eight points from leading positions in this season’s Premier League, more than any other side.
- Maurizio Sarri is the first Chelsea manager to remain unbeaten in his first 10 Premier League matches in charge of the club.
- 75% of Arsenal’s Premier League goals this season have come in the second half (18/24).
- Crystal Palace‘s opening goal from Luka Milivojevic ended a run of 417 minutes without scoring a Premier League goal at home.
- Paul Pogba has been directly involved in 31 goals (14 goals and 17 assists) for Manchester United in the Premier League since his arrival in 2016 – more than any other player at the club.
