While the majority of the league have only played 32 games so far thanks to postponements due cup fixtures, gameweek 33 produced some excellent performances.
While there were some big results at the bottom of the table, there was no game more exciting that that at the Etihad where Man Utd came from two goals behind to stun Manchester City and delay their inevitable title party.
Without further ado, here are the best 11 players from last weekends action.
Joe Hart – West Ham
Has come in for some stick this season, but the (maybe former) England number 1 produced a great display to help the Hammers to a point against Chelsea.
Cesar Azpilicueta- Chelsea
Scored the goal for Chelsea and was good going forward, despite Chelsea dropping more points against West Ham.
Vincent Kompany – Man City
A thunderous header to put City into the lead against United.
Chris Smalling – Man Utd
Lost Kompany for the opener, but took revenge by scoring the winner against Manchester City – again.
Terence Kongolo – Huddersfield
Tireless for the Terriers, solid at the back and did well going forwards as they earned a vital point.
Mousa Dembele – Spurs
As usual, everywhere in the middle of the park.
Paul Pogba – Man Utd
Had a pretty tepid first half, but was on fire in the second, scoring two goals in three minutes to give United parity in the derby.
Alex Iwobi – Arsenal
A solid performance from the youngster, grabbing two assists in the process.
Christian Eriksen – Spurs
Scored twice, but had one taken off of him, making it officially a goal and an assist for the Dane. Still pretty impressive.
Alexis Sanchez – Man Utd
Certainly growing into that number 7 shirt, grabbing two assists to help United to victory.
Danny Welbeck – Arsenal
He ay have missed a sitter, but two goals and an assist for “Dat Guy Welbz” is certainly not a bad day at the office.
