GOALKEEPER: MARTIN DUBRAVKA – NEWCASTLE

After the disappointment of last week’s late defeat against Wolves, Newcastle responded with a hard fought win at Huddersfield. A solid defensive display earned a clean sheet, Slovakian goalkeeper Dubravka’s five saves providing the platform for Newcastle to earn a vital 1-0 away win.

DEFENDER: JAVIER MANQUILLO – NEWCASTLE

Part of a Newcastle rear guard that earned a vital clean sheet, the Spanish full-back provided the assist for Salomon Rondon’s goal to secure Rafa Benitez’s side a vital three points.

DEFENDER: MARTIN KELLY – CRYSTAL PALACE

Having found himself on the fringes this season, Kelly returned to the Palace side with a solid display in their win over Leicester. The once-capped England international was part of a defence that helped shut-out Leicester to secure a vital win at Selhurst Park.

DEFENDER: JOSE HOLESBAS – WATFORD

The veteran Greek full-back scored his third goal of the season as Watford beat Cardiff 3-2. The 34-year-old has now been involved in seven Premier League goals this season (3 goals, 4 assists).

MIDFIELDER: JAMES MCARTHUR – CRYSTAL PALAE

At the heart of Palace’s best work, the Scotland international shone in their win over Leicester. Central to the hosts’ positive play, McArthur was instrumental as Palace secured their first Premier League victory without Wilfried Zaha in over two years.

MIDFIELDER: XHERDAN SHAQIRI – LIVERPOOL

Named amongst the substitutes, Swiss international Shaqiri came off the bench to change the game for Jurgen Klopp’s title chasers. The midfielder’s two goals, substantially helped by deflections, earned Liverpool a vital win which kept them a point ahead of champions Manchester City.

MIDFIELDER: EDEN HAZARD – CHELSEA

A goal and an assist for Chelsea’s brilliant Belgian. Maurizio Sarri’s side followed last weekend’s win over Manchester City with victory at Brighton. Central to the win was Hazard, laying on Pedro’s opener before scoring the second in a comfortable win on the South Coast.

MIDFIELDER: GERARD DEULOFEU – WATFORD

The former Barcelona winger was at his mercurial best against Cardiff. The Spaniard scored and assisted in the 3-2 win as Javi Gracia’s side got back to winning ways.

MIDFIELDER: LEROY SANE – MANCHESTER CITY

Back to his very best, the flying winger turned in yet another impressive display as City beat Everton at the Etihad. Since the start of last season, no player in the Premier League has provided more assists than the German.

FORWARD: GABRIEL JESUS – MANCHESTER CITY

Handed his opportunity in the absence of the injured Sergio Aguero, Jesus responded with two goals as the champions beat Everton. Pep Guardiola’s side bounced back from last weekend’s defeat at Chelsea with Brazilian International Jesus’ brace central to a routine home win.

FORWARD: DANNY INGS – SOUTHAMPTON

Two headed goals of the highest quality, the on-loan forward showed his talents as Southampton earned their first win of the Ralph Hasenhuttl era with a hard fought win over Arsenal. Ings brace helping to end Unai Emery’s side 22 game unbeaten run.
