Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed the three current players that he admires the most.
Unsurprisingly all the players that he rates most highly are midfielders like himself. Pogba is a big fan of Real Madrid pair Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, who have been instrumental in Los Blancos winning a record three successive Champions League titles.
The other player Pogba looks up to is a little closer to home – Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
Pogba, however, also revealed that he simply loves the game and he analyses former greats like Xavi and Paul Scholes in order to learn and make himself a better player.
“Now I look at Kevin De Bruyne… Modric… Tony Kroos,” Pogba told Stadium Astro.
“All those players now, they’re playing and I love looking at them and I try and learn from them, It’s always good for me.”
“To be honest I love football, I love watching players, maybe people would be surprised.
“When i was younger I used to look up to strikers. Now, I’m a midfielder, I look to midfield players.
“I learn from Yaya Toure, Iniesta, Xavi, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick
“I love to look at midfielders to make myself, Paul Pogba, with all the best qualities of the other ones.”
