Pogba happy after ‘deserved’ Arsenal victory

Manchester United further tightened their grip on second place in the Premier League with a last gasp 2-1 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford yesterday.

The Red Devils took an early lead via a close range finish from their record signing Paul Pogba. However former United attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalised for the Gunners not long after half-time, before Marouane Fellaini came off the bench to score a looping last minute header and secure all three points for Jose Mourinho’s men.

Speaking after the game Pogba said he felt the home side had created enough opportunities to win the game, and also reaffirmed his clubs targets between now and the end of the season, which are to cement second place in the league and win the FA Cup.

“I think we got what we deserved. We pushed and had lots of chances and we know Marouane’s qualities in the box. You can touch it with your hair with your nose as long as it goes in! Pogba told Sky Sports.

“The team played well. I feel good, so does the team. We got the points that we want that we need. A perfect season would be to win the league, but we have been second for a long time. We want to get the second place and win the FA Cup final.”
