Paul Pogba’s infamous agent Mina Raiola has moved to quash rumours that the star midfielder and his manager at Manchester United Jose Mourinho have had a serious falling out.
There has been much speculation about the relationship between United’s record signing and his Portuguese coach in recent weeks.
Pogba has been benched for three of his sides last six fixtures, after he put in a series of poor displays. However, Raiola has insisted that reports of a breakdown in the pairs relationship are wide of the mark, when he said:
“If things aren’t going well I try to do my job, looking for satisfactory solutions for my players and the clubs. At the moment Paul hasn’t told me anything and I know that he does not move without having won any titles.
There is not the war with [Jose] Mourinho that is being talked about, but in the market the truth is never told and you can never say never.”
Much of the furore surrounding Pogba in recent times has centred around were best Jose Mourinho can utilise the talented France international. Debate has raged over his best position, with many pointing out that he struggles defensively in a midfield two and would be better suited to playing on the left of midfield three, were he thrived for former club Juventus.
Raiola comments do however seem to diffuse the speculation about Pogba and Mourinho’s relationship, whilst also suggesting that the 24-year-old has no intentions of leaving Old Trafford for a second time until he has won several titles.
