The Football Faithful Podcast is back and this week we were joined by legendary footballing maverick and all-round top man Magic Chris Waddle.
Former Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and England winger Waddle sat down with the lads for what was a fascinating and wide-ranging interview.
Chris gave us his thoughts on the state of play at all the Premier League’s top six clubs, Ireland’s chances of success under Mick McCarthy, England’s revival under Gareth Southgate, and his views on the growing trend of young English players heading abroad.
Of course, with it being Chris Waddle he also opened up about his own playing days, discussing Gazza, Paul McGrath, that penalty, and Gary Lineker shitting himself during World Cup 1990.
Chris even named the player he liked to face the most and it’s fair to say his answer will surprise everybody – especially fans of Italian football.
We then move onto discussing Vinny Kompany’s thunderbastard and Man United’s dressing room being inhabited by a bunch of soulless creeps.
The pod was recorded just before the Liverpool v Barcelona game and it’s fair to say Ant’s prediction has not aged well!
We then round things off with our usual weekly Quiz and Pr*ck of the Week award.
Here’s the full episode, and don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe.
