Pochettino challenges Spurs to ‘keep going and be consistent’ after 3-1 win over Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino issued a rallying cry to his Spurs team after their brilliant 3-1 win against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday evening.

The former Southampton manager was overjoyed with his side’s performance against Chelsea and called for them to build on Saturday’s result and keep progressing.

“There’s no need for me to talk too much. I am so happy, so pleased. I don’t need to analyse too much. All credit to the players because they were fantastic,” Pochettino told BBC’s Match of the Day.

Pochettino sounded like a man happy with his lot and completely focused on what he can achieve at Spurs, which will be music to the ears of all Spurs’ fans after recent rumours linking the Argentine with the Real Madrid job.

“The staff are so happy managing this group of players. We need to be humble and recognise playing like this we can do big things,” he said.

“Our challenge is to keep going and be consistent. That’s our challenge for the rest of the season.”

Spurs are now 3rd in the Premier League and face Inter Milan in a huge Champions League tie during the week as they strive to keep their European dream alive.
