Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Christian Eriksen is totally focussed on doing a ‘good job’ for Spurs, despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract at the club.
Spurs have actively tied a number of their star players down to new contracts in recent months, but Eriksen is one player yet to commit his future to the club.
However, despite his future potentially being away from White Hart Lane, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that the 26-year-old is focussed on bringing success to the North London club.
“Players like him are always focused on trying to do a good job,” Pochettino said ahead of today clash with Bournemouth.
“Football is so dynamic and changing every day. We hope in the future, whether it is in the summer, January or the next few days, we can take the best decision for club and player.”
Spurs are currently sat in third place in the Premier League, just six points behind Liverpool, and having demolished Everton 6-2 just before Christmas, a number of pundits have questioned whether they can make a charge for the title.
