Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Mousa Dembele could leave the club in the current transfer window.
The 31-year-old has just six months remaining on his deal at Spurs, and he was strongly linked with an exit last summer, with a number of Italian and Chinese clubs thought to have be interested.
The dynamic Belgian has been restricted to just seven league starts this season due to a number of injuries, with Dembele thought to be struggling to keep up with the relentlessness of the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s FA Cup clash with Tranmere, Mauricio Pochettino was unable to provide an update on Dembele’s future at the club.
“No [a decision has not been made yet on his future]. There is still no news. No news, again like Christian Eriksen – a different situation – it is not only in our hands,” Pochettino.
“In that business, there are different parties that are involved, then it is about to negotiate, to talk, and see what the different parties want.”
Asked whether Dembele could leave this month, the Argentine added: “I don’t know, that is going to be a club decision, of course, involved with the player and the people that are with him.”
