Which players provided the most assists during the 2025/26 Premier League season? It was a record-breaking year for Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fenandes, while two others reached double figures for goals created.
5. Harry Wilson (Fulham), Dominik Szboszlai and Mohamed Salah (both Liverpool), James Garner (Everton) – 7
A four-way tie for fifth place includes Liverpool pair Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah. Szoboszlai was a standout in a poor Liverpool team for much of the campaign, while Salah ended his Anfield career with a seventh league assist of the campaign on the final day.
Harry Wilson, out of contract at Fulham and in-demand, also produced seven assists, as did James Garner. The latter earned an England debut after an excellent season with Everton.
4. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 8
The Manchester City goal machine is often associated with finishing chances, but the Norwegian set up eight goals for teammates in 2025/26. The Golden Boot winner is the only player to feature among the top goalscorers and assist providers.
3. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) – 11
Did more than anyone to try and keep West Ham in the Premier League but, ultimately, it wasn’t enough. After nine goals and 11 assists, Bowen will be pursued by plenty of Premier League clubs this summer.

2. Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) – 12
A fantastic addition to the Premier League and joy to watch. Cherki chalked up 12 assists, despite starting only 19 games. Imagine what he could do with a full campaign.
1. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 21
Bruno Fernandes – record-breaker. No player has ever managed more than his 21 assists in a single season, with the Manchester United captain eclipsing Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry on the final weekend.
Patrick Dorgu headed home his corner kick, to set a new seasonal high. His Playmaker Award is one of several individual accolades the Portugal international has collected this season.
136 – Bruno Fernandes created 136 chances in the @premierleague this season; the most by a player in any of Europe’s big five leagues since Kevin De Bruyne in 2019-20 (also 136). Visionary. pic.twitter.com/1EvnGIOCgb
