West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he wants to sign former Arsenal and Man City midfielder Samir Nasri.
The 31-year-old playmaker is currently training with West Ham as he aims to regain fitness while he serves his doping ban which runs until the 31st of December.
Pellegrini knows all about the kind of quality the former France international possesses having worked with him at Man City and the Chilean coach is hopeful Nasri can prove his fitness and become part of his squad.
“Samir Nasri is working here with us,” Pellegrini told the press ahead of his sides clash against his former club Man City at the London Stadium on Saturday.
“It’s a long time that he had his ban but we are giving him a hand to return to football.
“I hope that from now until the end of the year he will be fit, and if that is the case we will try to keep him here at West Ham.”
