Pellegrini calls on West Ham ‘to be more consistent’

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has called on his team to be more consistent as The Hammers look to climb into the top half of the table in the coming weeks.

Pellegrini has watched as his team has turned in excellent performances this season against Manchester United, Arsenal and, most recently, Liverpool at London Stadium. However, The Irons have lacked consistency and, as a result, they currently sit in 12th position in the table.

“We need to be a more consistent team and there are lots of things we need to improve. We must go game by game and try to beat every opponent. To be nearer the top is what we want,” said Pellegrini in his pre-match press conference.

“I will be disappointed if I review the season and I thought we could have done better. But we must think about the amount of players we have injured, along with the other things that happened during the season, when we make our review.”

West Ham travel to play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend. Roy Hodgson’s Eagles are two places and six points behind The Hammers.
