Manuel Pellegrini gave West Ham fans an update today regarding Marko Arnautovic’s injury ahead of their game with Liverpool on Monday night.
The Irons Chilean manager said they will be using all the time available to them to see if Arnautovic can be available for selection for the game at London Stadium.
“We are not sure about Marko,” said Pellegrini in his pre-match press conference.
“We need to see the development and the pain in his foot. We have 72 hours more to see if he will be able to play.
“It’s more a question for the doctor. We will see on Saturday and if he can kick the ball.”
Pellegrini also reported that West Ham’s goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski should be fit and ready for the visit of Liverpool while Aaron Cresswell could also be available. However, former Arsenal man Samir Nasri needs more time for rehabilitation.
“Lukasz Fabianski will be OK. He didn’t work 100% today but I think he will be able to work normally tomorrow,” said Pellegrini.
“Aaron Cresswell is getting better, but Samir Nasri needs one week more.”
West Ham have won only one of their last five Premier League games, and will be looking get their season back on track against Jurgen Klopp’s league leaders.
