West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that the Hammers star attacker Marko Arnautovic is happy at the London Stadium.
Austrian international Arnautovic has established himself as West Ham’s talisman since joining the East London outfit from Stoke in the summer of 2017 for £25 million.
However, the 29-year-old forward was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer and both he and his brother – who acts as his agent – hinted last week that the Hammers number seven would like to move to a bigger club.
Pellegrini though has played down the speculation by insisting that Arnautovic is only focused on performing at his best for West Ham.
“He is a West Ham player because he has a contract here, he is happy here,” said Pellegrini.
“Every player always wants to play in the biggest team but I don’t think that Marko is thinking about that.
“He is thinking about West Ham and he tries to make his best performance in every game.”
