Galatasaray are set to announce the signing of Victor Osimhen imminently with the forward having signed his contract with the club.
Osimhen has signed a season-long loan deal with the Turkish Süper Lig champions in one of the surprise transfers of the summer.
The 25-year-old had been expected to move to one of Europe’s elite clubs after a prolific period in Naples, where he scored 77 goals in 136 games and won the Serie A title in 2022/23.
However, transfer talks with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Al-Ahli failed to find a breakthrough, leaving Osimhen in search of a new club after the closure of the transfer window for Europe’s top five clubs.
Galatasaray have swooped in to sign the striker on loan deal that does not include a optional or mandatory purchase option. It is also understood there will be a break clause in the January transfer window, allowing Osimhen to leave Istanbul if Napoli receive a suitable offer for him.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Osimhen has signed his contract with Galatasaray and will wear the number 45 shirt with the club.
