Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo heaped praise on right wing-back Matt Doherty after his sides 1-0 win over Bristol City in the fifth round of the FA Cup today.
Republic of Ireland international Doherty has been one of Wolves star performers this season and was again superb today at Ashton Gate, with his Portuguese coach revealing just how happy he is with the 27-year-old.
“He’s fantastic, he has a big heart, he goes up and down and doesn’t rest. He does an important job for us,’’ Nuno told BT Sport.
“We are very happy with him, it was a big challenge to prove himself in the Premier League and he is doing ever so well.”

Although Bristol City put up a valiant fight Wolves now progress to the sixth round, and scorer of the match winning goal Ivan Cavaleiro is hoping his side can continue to progress as the season goes on.
“The goal was important, I am very happy to score but most important is the team moves into the next round,’’ the Portuguese international told BT Sport.
“We‘re doing well in the league , and I hope we can continue like this and hope everything goes well.”
