Nuno Espirito Santo has warned his Wolves side against the perils of complacency ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
Last season’s Championship winners got their Premier League campaign underway in fine fashion, picking up 16 points from their opening eight games upon their return to the top flight.
However, they would then embark on a miserable run of form where they collected just one point from a possible 18 before rediscovering their form in their last two games, securing back-to-back victories against Chelsea and Newcastle.
They go up against Bournemouth this weekend, a team who have also endured a disappointing run of form in recent weeks, and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has warned his side that they should expect a tough challenge from Eddie Howe’s side.
“We know how hard it is to get back-to-back wins and we want to continue. We have to be ready for it,” Santo said in his pre-match press conference.
“It’s a tough challenge we face, what is important is that we are ready for tomorrow.”
Victory on Saturday would be the first time that a Wolves side have won three consecutive matches in the top-flight since March 1980.
