Nottingham Forest travel to Portman Road on Friday night looking to end a run of three straight Premier League defeats against an Ipswich Town side also short on form.
Oliver Glasner’s side sit 19th in the table with five points from seven matches, level on goal difference with Ipswich despite scoring four fewer goals than their hosts. Victory would lift Forest out of the bottom three, though they have won only once away from home in the league this season.
Nottingham Forest team news
Nottingham Forest will again be without Igor Jesus, sidelined with a calf injury, and Nicolò Savona, who has a knee problem. Glasner confirmed the pair are his only unavailable players this week, with the rest of his squad fit and available for selection. Nikola Milenković is among those cleared to play, the centre-back having been an unused substitute against Arsenal while managing a minor issue of his own. Glasner has stressed that recent performances have been better than the results suggest, pointing to a competitive display against Arsenal even without his captain.
Morgan Gibbs-White returns after missing the defeat to Arsenal with a muscle problem, Glasner confirming the midfielder trained fully throughout the week: “He’s ready, he trained for the entire week, so no issues.” Gibbs-White has been directly involved in three of Forest’s five Premier League goals this season. Liam Delap is set to lead the line against his former club, having scored once in the Premier League this season, with Dan Ndoye supporting from a front three alongside Gibbs-White. Xaver Schlager and James McAtee are expected to continue in central midfield, with Daniel Muñoz and Neco Williams providing the width.
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup
