Since then, the Seagulls have recorded four consecutive wins in all competitions, including back-to-back league and cup wins against Chelsea. In midweek, Brighton beat Bournemouth in the Premier League to remain in the hunt for European football.

Sven Botman and Joelinton are also pushing to return in time to face Brighton. The duo are closing in on first-team action in a welcome boost to the Magpies. Jamaal Lascelles remains in a treatment room reducing in population for Newcastle.
